This role will be that of a senior technical leader responsible for driving innovation and influence in shaping the product strategy and roadmap for next-generation wireless protocol test solutions for 6G, with focus on AI, Agentic AI, and other forward-looking areas. This role envisions technology foresight, understanding industry trends and market-driven product planning to ensure industry-leading test and measurement offerings. Responsibilities: Product Planning & StrategyCultivate a bird’s eye view and perspective of the industry trends, looking into the 3-5 year horizons, and mapping those insights into broad based product strategyInfluence product roadmap for wireless protocol test platforms (UE, network, and core testing)Partner with R&D to prioritize features based on technical feasibility and business impactTranslate technology priorities into concrete technical requirementsTechnical Architecture & InnovationProvide system-level architecture guidance for protocol test solutionsEnsure alignment of products with evolving wireless technologies and deploymentsDrive innovation in:AI-native workflows in protocol validation, network optimization, and adjacent areas, both in commercial solutions as well as internal toolchainsProtocol emulation and simulationEnd-to-end network testingCloud-native and virtualized test solutionsContribute to patents, whitepapers, and technical publicationsCross-Functional LeadershipCollaborate with:R&D (feature definition and implementation)Marketing (positioning and messaging)Sales (customer engagement and solution support)Mentor senior engineers and act as a technical authority within the organizationSupport key customer engagements with deep technical insights Qualifications: EducationMaster’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fieldExperience12+ years in wireless communications, with strong focus on:3GPP standardization contributionsWireless protocol development or testingExperience in product planning or technical product managementTechnical ExpertiseDeep knowledge of:5G NR protocol stack (RRC, MAC, PHY interactions)Leading 6G technology candidates and trendsLTE and legacy technologiesCore network signaling (5GC, EPC)Strong understanding of:Conformance and interoperability testingTest methodologies and automationFamiliarity with:Network simulators, protocol analyzers, and lab test systemsBusiness & Strategic SkillsAbility to connect standards evolution to commercial product opportunitiesStrong analytical skills for market and competitive analysisExperience defining product requirements and influencing roadmap decisionsSoft SkillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to influence without authority across global teamsStrong industry presence and credibilityPreferred QualificationsActive rapporteur or leadership role within 3GPPExperience with 5G-Advanced or early 6G researchBackground in test and measurement industryExposure to business strategy frameworks
