Independent Contractor | Dutch Law | Commercial Disputes | Online Arbitration We are looking for an experienced Dutch lawyer / advocaat to build a long-term relationship with our international business ecosystem. You will primarily support:

• Global Centers for Entrepreneurship – an international entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem• Your Software Supplier – a global software development ecosystem• Health Connectors – connecting companies and professionals within the health and wellbeing sector

This is not a full-time position. We are looking for an experienced legal professional who can support us when legal matters arise. Work can largely be performed remotely, online and on a flexible basis. Your work may include:

• Commercial disputes between companies• Unpaid invoices and debt recovery• Contractual disputes with clients, suppliers or freelancers• Interpretation and enforcement of commercial agreements• Settlement negotiations• Drafting legal notices, claims and responses• Dutch contract and commercial law• Preparing cases for mediation or arbitration• Online arbitration proceedings• Representing our companies during online legal meetings, negotiations and arbitration proceedings• Managing matters independently so that our management team does not always need to participate directly• Advising on risk, strategy and the best course of action before disputes escalateMost matters will relate to Dutch law, although many of our clients, partners and counterparties are international.

• Has strong experience with Dutch commercial and contract law• Has experience with disputes, litigation, mediation and/or arbitration• Is comfortable representing companies independently• Can communicate professionally in both Dutch and English• Is commercially minded and solution-oriented• Understands that resolving a dispute efficiently can sometimes be more valuable than lengthy litigation• Can work independently and take ownership of a case• Is comfortable working remotely with entrepreneurs and international companies• Is available flexibly when legal support is required

Experience with online arbitration, international business, technology companies, startups or investor-related matters is a strong advantage. How the collaboration works This is an Independent Contractor / freelance relationship. You determine your professional hourly rate and invoice us for the work performed. There is no fixed 40-hour working week. Some periods may require very little legal work, while other periods may involve active cases. The relationship can therefore work very well alongside your existing legal practice. We are looking for someone interested in building a long-term partnership, rather than simply handling an occasional legal case.
