Senior Antenna Design Engineer – ContractLocation: Stockholm, Sweden – hybrid, 2–3 days onsite per weekContract: Initial 6-month contract, with potential for extensionStart: OctoberRate: 800–900 SEK/hour, depending on experienceLanguage: English or Swedish The OpportunityWe are partnering with an innovative technology company in Stockholm developing next-generation wireless and sensor technologies.They are looking for a Senior Antenna Design Engineer to join their engineering team on an initial six-month contract.This is a specialist position for an experienced antenna engineer who can take ownership of the antenna design and development activities within the wider engineering team.You will be the team's dedicated antenna specialist, working closely with RF, electronics and systems engineers to develop, simulate, optimise and validate antenna solutions for advanced wireless products. This is an opportunity to have genuine technical ownership of the antenna work, from early feasibility and concept development through simulation, prototyping and laboratory validation. Key ResponsibilitiesTake technical ownership of antenna design and development activities.Design, simulate and optimise antennas for advanced wireless and sensor applications.Perform electromagnetic simulations and analyse antenna performance.Investigate and resolve antenna and RF performance issues.Support RF hardware verification and hands-on laboratory testing.Conduct antenna measurements and characterisation using appropriate RF test equipment.Work closely with RF, electronics and systems engineers to integrate antenna solutions into products.Contribute to early-stage feasibility studies, technical investigations and product concepts.Support PCB and antenna integration, including schematic and prototype evaluation.Take antenna designs through development, testing and optimisation. Required ExperienceWe are looking for a senior antenna/RF engineer with strong practical antenna design experience.You should have:6+ years' professional experience in antenna engineering or RF engineering, with a significant focus on antenna design.Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and wave propagation.Proven experience designing and optimising antennas.Hands-on experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS and/or CST Studio Suite.Practical RF measurement and hardware verification experience.Experience using laboratory equipment such as:Vector Network Analysers (VNAs)Spectrum analysersOscilloscopesExperience with PCB integration and schematic design.Basic soldering and prototype debugging skills.Programming experience with MATLAB and/or C.Ability to work independently and take ownership of specialist technical areas.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Additional InformationInitial 6-month contract, with potential for extension.Stockholm-based, with 2–3 days per week onsite.English is the working language — Swedish is not required.Candidates already based in Sweden are preferred.No visa sponsorship is available.Interviews are taking place immediately.
