Requirements
PhD in relevant subject area At least two peer-reviewed original scientific publications as first or last author PhD awarded no more than 7 years before application deadline Research in neuroscience broadly defined: molecular, cellular, genetic, circuit, systems, computational, or cognitive neuroscience Animal models or human research welcome Innovative experimental, computational, or technological approaches encouraged
Responsibilities
Establish and lead independent research programme in neuroscience Recruit and mentor doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers Apply for external research funding from national and international sources Publish high-quality work in leading journals Engage in collaboration within department and internationally Contribute to doctoral and postdoctoral supervision Participate in educational activities (limited teaching obligations) Complete 3 weeks of higher education pedagogical courses within 2 years
