BDD Migration & Test Engineer

Role: BDD Migration & Test Engineer Location: Europe (Remote)Type: Contract Position Please find below JD: Join the team migrating our large BDD test estate onto the new cloud platform (V2). This is a chance to properly rebuild the test set rather than just copy across. You’ll look at failing tests, work out why they’re failing, and decide whether to fix them, rewrite them, or drop them, so only a clean, trustworthy set of tests makes it onto the new platform. What you’ll be doing:Supporting migration of the BDD test set to the new cloud platform, assessing each test to decide whether it should carry forward, be reworked, or retired.Diagnosing and fixing the technical debt behind failing tests, including environment issues, flaky assertions and stale assumptions.Running and maintaining our day-to-day Phase 4/5 test pack: executing tests, triaging failures, and keeping it green. This is also how you’ll pick up the system knowledge the migration work needs.Splitting your time between migration work and ongoing P4/P5 maintenance as priorities require. What we’re looking for:Experience with test automation in a networking environmentExperience with testing frameworks for large ecosystems with multiple applicationsExperience with both on prem and cloud deployed systemsComfortable diagnosing environmental issues, not just problems in the test code itself.Familiarity with AI tools for productivity. We’re actively adopting these across the team.Strong communication skills. You’ll be moving between migration work and day-to-day operations, often in the same week.
