Bid Managers, UK & International

Ecolog International is seeking two experienced bid managers to support their capture of major projects across government, defence and humanitarian sectors in two geographic sectors. The first will focus purely on UK Government and Defence contracts, the second will focus on international contracts across a wide variety of customers across the world. Ecolog operates in over 50 countries globally, delivering a range of services including large scale logistics and food supply, base operations, catering, infrastructure construction, rapid response healthcare, refugee centres, waste management and environmental solutions, and as such is one of the few major global firms with the capabilities and expertise to deliver vital services reliably, rapidly and at scale in complex environments. We are seeking individuals with developed experience in overseeing and project managing bids that are large, complex, multi-dimensional and over extended periods of time. A great deal of creativity, technical knowledge and know how as well as being able to project manage teams contributing to the bids from including country business development, technical writers, engineering, finance, SMEs, operations, HR, legal and technology teams. A significant proportion of the work is the detailed response to well organised tender processes, but frequently Ecolog seeks to provide proactive solutions to potential clients from rapid response to humanitarian disasters, military deployments or governmental challenges where a great deal of creativity, understanding and ingenuity must be deployed to provide truly excellent solutions. Core Responsibilities of the roles are: Manage bids from opportunity assessment and tender receipt through final submission and clarification stages.Review ITTs, RFPs, framework requirements, evaluation criteria, contractual documents and client instructions.Prepare bid plans, compliance matrices, response structures, schedules and responsibility matrices.Lead kick-off meetings, progress reviews, solution-development sessions and internal approvals.Draft, edit and improve technical, operational and management responses.Challenge incomplete or generic inputs and work with contributors to develop clear, evidence-based and persuasive content.Maintain alignment between the proposed solution, pricing, mobilisation, staffing, programme, risk and contractual commitments.Manage document production, quality assurance, version control and final portal submission. This vital role that, when done well, harnesses all of the strengths and capabilities across the entire firm to improve outcomes for both the business, but also the success and satisfaction of people around the world whom Ecolog supports in some of the most challenging global situations. We are therefore seeking world class talent that has both the technical skills in bid management, but also the project management, team leadership, diplomacy, global awareness and ingenuity to make a real difference to bid success. Essential: A minimum of 7 years experience (likely more) specifically in bid management for long term, complex service lead bids in sectors such as remote site services such as camp management, supply, logistics, remote construction of eg bases, bunkers, modular centres, catering, food supply, maintenance and alikeProven experience in managing complex bids from planning through to submission.Strong technical experience in proposal writingAPMP qualification would be advantageous

For the UK Bid Manager: A developed expertise and knowledge of bids to UK government entities such as FCDO, MoD, Crown Commercial Service, central and local government entities. Familiarity with UK public procurement, framework competitions and quality-based evaluation methodologies.The role may be remote, but it would be important to be able to travel easily to the UK or the Netherlands to meet with bid team members. For the International Bid Manager: Will have worked on highly technical bids for major governmental, military or NGO organisations with exacting standards such as the UN, US Dept of State, USAID, EBRD, MSF, EU entities and alike.Will have demonstrable experience of a global nature in bid management, ideally having worked on bids in frontier environments across, Africa, Middle East, Europe and Asia.The role will be remote, but if travel to Dubai or within Europe is possible for team meetings it would be advantageous
