SUMMARYThe Business Development Manager for ACIT plays a key role in achieving Amphenol Cable and Interconnect Technologies’ (ACIT) aggressive growth strategy by developing new business along with growing and sustaining existing business at acceptable margins. The Business Development Manager ensures ACIT is professionally and responsibly represented in the industry, and that our organization meets the expected level of service, responsiveness, and quality requirements of our customers. The ideal candidate will excel in developing strong relationships, solving customer needs by leveraging the breadth of the unique product portfolio, and developing and closing sales opportunities. This position will support new business and sales efforts primarily in Germany and Eastern Europe. Additional regions may be added according to business needs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSReview, investigate, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities for ACIT through appropriate proposition and ethical sales methods. Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans, and profit targets.Raise the company profile and increase turnover of the ACIT product range. Build market position and increase market share by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing sales opportunities.Achieve targets for revenue, profitability, and sales growth. Achieve budgeted regional growth goal.Fully utilize CRM by entering Sales opportunities into the funnel on a weekly basisDevelop strong relationships with all levels in the customer’s organization, including within purchasing and engineeringDevelop and implement strategies and actions to close sales funnel opportunities.Travel as needed in the assigned geographical area to present and market ACIT and its products and services to both existing key accounts and new business opportunities.Identify market trends through research, events, publications, announcements, tracking individual customers and contributors and their accomplishments. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of competition and competitive products; maintain analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.Analyze these market trends and customer needs to identify potential company resources, and coordinate sales efforts with product and technical experts to respond effectively.Work closely with the inside sales team to ensure they are kept up to date with all relevant details on the accounts they manage, thus ensuring a high quality of service.Provide technical support to internal and external customers.Work with product management to specify customer and market requirements for new and existing products.Produce visit reports following meetings with new and existing accounts and programsAnalyze sales and financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections for reporting to ACIT leadership (monthly & annually). Keep sales and ACIT leaders abreast of business changes for key accounts.Attend industry meetings, conferences, trade shows, etc., and perform product demonstrations at these where and when appropriate, along with assistance from Field Applications EngineerDevelop sales strategies, develop sales training, identify and improve sales resources and tools.Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE A minimum of 10 years’ direct experience in a business development/ sales role, including all aspects of sales development and execution.Relevant degree in Engineering, Business, or related degree;A technical background within electrical/electronics interconnection is beneficial, along with experience in dealing with military/defense and space/satellite customers. LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts, NDAs, and regulatory documents.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and high-level financial proposals.Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
