Business Systems Specialist (eFront)

ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for a highly experienced Business Systems Specialist to lead the support, enhancement, and reporting development of the eFront Invest fund administration platform across multiple business units. The role is critical in ensuring the integrity, performance, and usability of the system across global teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in eFront Invest, SQL, and data integration, combined with strong business acumen in fund administration and investment operations. eFront Invest is a hard requirement — this is not a generic systems or BA role. RESPONSIBILITIESeFront Platform• Lead support and enhancement of the eFront Investplatform across multiple business units• Configure and set up eFront modules including FundOperations, subledger management, fee structures, andinvoicing• Support client onboarding and new fund setup within theeFront environment• Identify and challenge non-standard design decisionsagainst eFront best practices and standard system usage• Assess operational risks related to platform configurationchoices, including dynamic reporting logic and transactionvolume scalability• Drive process standardisation and reduce defect volumesthrough root cause analysis and backlog prioritisation• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, andimplement corrective actions Reporting and Data• Design, develop, and maintain custom reports using SQLand eFront reporting tools• Drive continuous improvement in reporting accuracy,automation, and delivery• Participate in data-related projects including integrationwith third-party systems and data warehouses• Ensure compliance with internal controls, auditrequirements, and data governance standards Stakeholder and Delivery• Collaborate with business users to gatherrequirements and translate them into technicalsolutions• Act as the bridge between accounting, finance,operations, and technical teams• Proactively communicate operational risks andprocess standardisation gaps to project leadership• Mentor junior team members and contribute toknowledge sharing across the group• Support change management and user adoptionactivities Key Deliverables• Enhanced and stable eFront Invest platform withdocumented configurations• Custom SQL reports and automated reportingsolutions• Risk and issue register for platform configurationdecisions• Process standardisation documentation andoperational runbooks• Defect backlog triage and resolution tracking• Client onboarding and fund setup documentation REQUIREMENTSExperience:• 5+ years in financial services with a focus on eFront Investsupport and development (hard requirement)• Deep hands-on knowledge of eFront modules: FundOperations, fee management, subledger architecture,invoicing, and reporting• Demonstrated ability to identify and challengenon-standard eFront configuration decisions and articulateoperational risk• Experience working in environments with high defectvolumes and evolving requirements• Experience supporting process standardisation initiativesin fund administration or investment operations• Experience with client onboarding and fund setup ineFront• Prior experience leading or mentoring technical teams isdesirable Education:• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science,Information Systems, or related field• Fluent spoken and written EnglishTechnical Skills:• Strong proficiency in SQL, report writing, and dataextraction from relational databases• Solid understanding of fund administration,investment accounting, and closed-ended fundstructures• Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes,and system integration• Experience with Business Intelligence tools andreporting frameworks• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, datamodelling)• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholdercommunication skills Nice to have:■ Experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentswith Jira and Confluence■ Familiarity with data reconciliation and varianceanalysis between systems■ Knowledge of IFRS or GAAP accounting standardsin fund administration context■ Exposure to other investment managementplatforms (Investran, Allvue, Yardi, or similar)
