About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced CAD Mechanical Engineer to join an automotive engineering assignment focused on glass systems and vehicle integration.In this role, you will work with the design and development of vehicle glass components throughout the engineering and industrialization phases, supporting the journey from early development through production introduction. What you’ll doDesign and develop automotive glass components, including windscreen, rear screen, door glass, quarter glass and glass roof systemsCreate, update and maintain 3D CAD models and delivery modelsCreate and manage 3D PMISupport mechanical integration activities and perform clash analysis before design releaseProvide technical input and design solutions for component developmentUpdate engineering and part templates when requiredWork closely with engineering, manufacturing and other cross-functional teamsSupport projects from initial development through industrialization and production What we’re looking forStrong professional experience with CATIA V5Very good experience with TeamcenterStrong knowledge of plastic construction and mechanical designExperience working with 3D PMIUnderstanding of mechanical integration and clash analysisExperience within the automotive industry or vehicle engineeringKnowledge of glass construction or automotive glass systems is highly advantageousAbility to independently drive engineering tasks and deliver according to project timelinesStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills The ideal candidateYou are a solution-oriented Design Engineer with a strong interest in automotive technology.
