Calibration Engineer

ALTEN is partnering with a global leader in hybrid engines and transmissions, to find talented professionals for their cutting-edge projects in Sweden. These roles are on-site and offer the opportunity to work with a pioneering team developing next-generation powertrain solutions for a global market. About the roleAs a Calibration Leader, you will take the lead on projects lasting from a few months to a year, focusing on planning, prioritizing, and tracking project progress. Your work will revolve around emissions, attributes, performance, and OBD (On-Board Diagnostics). You will collaborate closely with internal teams and present findings and updates to both internal and external stakeholders, including customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for budget estimation, tracking, and balancing throughout the project lifecycle. As a Calibration Engineer (Fuel/Evap Diagnostics), you will be responsible for performing calibration of engine control or diagnostic systems during all project phases. This includes physical testing, simulation, and analysis to optimize calibrations in line with project and customer requirements. You will also contribute to the development and improvement of calibration and testing methods. Your main responsibilitiesFor the Calibration Leader:Lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely deliveryPlan, prioritize, and monitor project progressFocus on emissions, attributes, performance, and OBDFacilitate internal coordination and communicationPresent project updates and results to customersManage budget estimation, tracking, and balancing For the Calibration Engineer:Develop methods for optimal and robust calibration during a projectPerform calibration, testing, and optimization of engine control/diagnostic systemsConduct tests and analysis to ensure system performanceUpdate and evaluate Sign-Off documentsUse Design of Experiments (DoE) to plan and evaluate tests when applicableIdentify issues and recommend solutionsAssess the need for analysis and verification activities Your profileWe are looking for responsible, driven, and technically skilled professionals with a strong background in calibration, project management, and powertrain development.Relevant engineering degree (BSc or equivalent) or equivalent experienceProven experience in project leadership or 2+ years in the automotive industryExperience in powertrain developmentExperience in powertrain software developmentUnderstanding of attributes, emissions, and OBDGeneral knowledge of powertrain control strategiesData analysis and programming skillsDriver’s License BMeritorious:INCA experienceHällered T1/T2 About ALTENALTEN is one of Europe’s largest technology and IT consulting companies with over 57,000 employees in nearly 30 countries.
