Managing Director / CEO (VD) Thronsberg is supporting a private equity-backed Swedish group in the search for a Managing Director / CEO. The business supplies technical and design-oriented products for construction, renovation and interior applications, serving professional customers alongside retail channels from several locations in Sweden. The role carries full responsibility for the business and its results, reporting to the board and shareholder. ResponsibilitiesFull P&L ownership, including gross margin, cost base, working capital, inventory, cash flow and balance sheetTranslating the ownership agenda into a 100-day plan and value creation plan with measurable initiatives, owners and milestonesStrengthening commercial performance: pricing, margin management, sales effectiveness and customer profitabilityImproving working capital, inventory performance and assortment complexityAssessing the organisation, establishing clear responsibilities and accountability, and developing the management teamBuilding the operating model and functions required for independent, sustainable growth RequirementsExperience as Managing Director, CEO, business unit MD, general manager or COO with full P&L responsibilityTrack record in turnaround, transformation, carve-out or standalone setup environmentsStrong commercial orientation across pricing, margins, B2B sales and product mixFinancial depth, with particular focus on cash generation and working capitalSector exposure to distribution, wholesale, building products, interior products or multi-site retail is an advantageSwedish required, fluent English The organisation is lean, so the role demands someone who stays close to customers and employees and drives critical initiatives personally.
