Cloud Security Engineer – Encryption Infrastructure Lead | Contract | Europe Location: Remote across UK, Netherlands, Poland, Ireland, Denmark or Romania (CET-aligned working hours)Day Rate: Up to €615/dayDuration: 12 months We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer – Encryption Infrastructure Lead to support a major security transformation programme for a global cyber threat intelligence organisation. Working within a fast-paced, security-critical environment, you will help drive encryption and infrastructure security initiatives across large-scale cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities:Lead the technical approach for closing encryption gaps across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.Implement encryption-at-rest and encryption-in-transit controls across services and applications.Support key management and key rotation initiatives, including AWS KMS and related tooling.Design, review and implement infrastructure and application changes to enhance security.Develop and test infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible.Support logging, monitoring and security controls across cloud-native and containerised environments.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to platform engineering teams while remaining hands-on. Requirements:8+ years' experience in cloud infrastructure and security engineering. Strong experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud environments.Deep understanding of encryption technologies, PKI and key management solutions such as AWS KMS.Strong Kubernetes and Linux administration experience.Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation.Strong Python skills and experience working within CI/CD environments.Proven ability to design secure cloud infrastructure while remaining delivery focused. Desirable Skills:Experience with AppViewX, Keyfactor or Venafi.Background within financial services or another highly regulated environment.Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical delivery.Experience operating within high-growth or fast-paced engineering organisations.
