Commercial Controller – Pricing and Profitability
What You'll Do
Take ownership of pricing and profitability analysis within the IDS Division, combining operational pricing work with business controlling and working with direct visibility to divisional leadership. You will split your time roughly equally between pricing management and business controlling: keeping prices accurate and following their development on one side, and turning order, sales and cost data into clear insights on profitability and performance on the other. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to make sure pricing and commercial decisions support growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain price lists, including list prices, regional adjustments, and discount structures Run the annual price adjustment process and conduct ongoing pricing reviews with product management and sales leadership Contribute to business and pricing model development by evaluating how we structure pricing across segments, regions, and product lines Analyze market, margin, and competitive data to generate pricing insights and recommendations Ensure pricing data accuracy across business systems and manage related administrative tasks Perform profitability analysis by product, customer, segment, and region, and identify the drivers behind margin development Carry out data-driven analyses of order and sales transactions, as well as cost to uncover trends, deviations, and opportunities Support the budgeting and forecasting process by preparing data, analyses, and commentary, with the opportunity to take over ownership of the process over time Manage KPIs by building, maintaining, and further developing reports and dashboards in Power BI Drive process improvements and automation in pricing and controlling workflows Collaborate closely with sales, product management, and finance to gather input and align decisions
What You'll Bring
You are analytical and structured, and you enjoy turning complex data into clear business decisions. You bring a hands-on, get-things-done attitude, a results-driven mindset, and a solution-oriented approach to driving the business forward. You are comfortable working across functions and know how to translate numbers into recommendations that stick with commercial stakeholders. You bring experience from controlling, commercial finance, pricing, or similar roles, ideally in a B2B or industrial environment.
A university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field Applicable experience in controlling, pricing, commercial finance or a similar role, and experience from working in a global manufacturing organization Experience working in an international context, collaborating across locations and cultures Strong communication skills in English Strong analytical skills and a track record of turning data into actionable insights Advanced Excel skills and comfort with large datasets Experience with Power BI for reporting and KPI management, and with financial planning and reporting tools Experience with structured pricing models or price management tools is an advantage The confidence to influence, challenge, and support decision-makers at all levels
