Company Description G.O.N.E (Great Outdoor Nordic Exploration) designs small, carefully hosted trips into the far North of Sweden with local communities. The experiences balance adventure and comfort, offering days in the wilderness and evenings by the fire, with space for reflection away from constant connectivity. A key offering is the winter week “Land of Laponia,” running in March 2027 inside Laponia, a UNESCO World Heritage wilderness, hosted by Sámi guides on their own land. Trips typically welcome four to twelve participants and are created for leaders and people who carry significant responsibilities but rarely pause. G.O.N.E also designs private weeks tailored for leadership teams, founders, and families. Role Description The Community Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Östersund. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with local communities, guides, and partners, and serving as a primary contact for participants before, during, and after trips. The Community Coordinator will organize and support community-focused events and gatherings, coordinate trip logistics with Sámi hosts and other partners, and help ensure a welcoming and inclusive experience for all participants. Day-to-day tasks include managing communications across email and social channels, supporting outreach to leadership teams and families, collecting feedback from participants and community partners, and collaborating with the broader team to strengthen G.O.N.E’s presence in the region. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Community Engagement and Community Outreach skills to build trusting relationships with local partners and trip participants.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to handle clear, compassionate, and professional interactions in person and in writing.Candidates should possess Event Planning skills to coordinate small-group trips, gatherings, and community-based activities.Candidates should possess Community Organizing skills to bring together diverse stakeholders and support collaborative initiatives.Relevant experience working with local or Indigenous communities, outdoor or travel organizations, or leadership development programs is beneficial.Ability to work on-site in Östersund, travel within the region as needed, and operate comfortably in remote, outdoor environments.Strong organizational skills, reliability in managing multiple tasks, and a proactive approach to solving problems.Professional proficiency in English; additional Nordic or Sámi languages are an advantage.
