Compliance Officer

Your role as Compliance OfficerWe are looking for a Compliance Officer to run our compliance function. The role reports directly to the Board of Directors and covers the full scope of compliance work, including planning and executing the compliance monitoring program, compliance checks, regulatory monitoring, policy setting, AML, data protection, authority communication, and advisory to the Board, management, and staff. The current Compliance Officer is moving to another role within the company and will provide hands-on training and support during the transition, ensuring you are set up for success before assuming full responsibility. The role is a full-time position at our main office located in Vaasa. The role is primarily office-based, with some flexibility for remote work. We also have an office in Helsinki. Who are we looking for?We are looking for a candidate with the following profile:Law degree from Finland or a comparable jurisdiction, or a higher degree in finance or economics combined with relevant experienceRelevant experience in compliance, legal, risk, or audit functions, preferably from the financial sectorStrong attention to detail and a structured and independent way of working, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlinesCollaborative mindset and ability to work well across teamsExcellent written and verbal language skills in Finnish or Swedish, and in EnglishKnowledge of fund regulation is considered a clear advantage What GRIT OffersA structured handover from the current Compliance Officer before you assume full responsibility.
