Connectivity Test Engineer

Project description: You will join a dedicated DXC Luxoft team embedded within the client's connectivity testing department. The assignment covers verification of the TCAM (Telematics & Connectivity Antenna Module) — the cellular modem embedded in modern connected vehicles — across simulated mobile network conditions representing 2G, 3G, LTE, and 5G technologies. The work is structured as an increment commitment: the team owns a defined area of responsibility and delivers features quarterly, aligned to the client's Quarterly Sync planning cadence. The engagement starts with onboarding in October 2026 and runs through 31 December 2028. Responsibilities: TCAM VerificationVerify TCAM cellular modem behavior (TCAM 1.1, 2, 3, 4) in simulated network conditionsTest voice, SMS, and data services across GSM, 3G, LTE, and 5G technologiesVerify eCall, legal eCall, and next-generation eCall functionalityTest DualAPN logic for multiple markets (HU, RO, SK, IS, GR)Validate VoLTE/VoNR, IMS Registration, and circuit-switched voice behaviorTest network reject code handling and modem recovery logicVerify eCall-only mode for country-specific regulatory requirementsTest Automation & CIDevelop and maintain automated test cases using Robot Framework and PythonMigrate existing test suite to TCAM2; extend coverage to TCAM3 and TCAM4Maintain and improve the CI/CD pipeline (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins) — keep the pipeline greenIntegrate test results into CarWeaver verification verdict systemManage defects and work items in JiraSimulator & Lab OperationsOperate and maintain mobile network simulators: Keysight Anite 9000 (SAS), Keysight UXM E7515A, and R&S CMW/CMX500Develop and maintain simulator services in PythonEnsure simulator availability and reliability for the test teamSME ContributionsAct as subject matter expert during TCAM and mobile network troubleshootingReview planned TCAM implementations for Network Friendliness ModeInvestigate voice-centric to data-centric mode migration requirementsContribute to pre-certification testing for new TCAM variants with mobile network operators Skills:Hands-on experience with Robot Framework for test automationPython scripting — test frameworks, simulator services, data processingSolid understanding of cellular technologies: GSM, 3G, LTE, 5GKnowledge of mobile network protocols: NAS signaling, EMM, IMS, VoLTEExperience working with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Gerrit or similar, Jenkins)Ability to read and interpret 3GPP specificationsExperience with defect tracking and work management in JiraComfortable with Linux-based toolchains and command-line environmentsDirect experience with Keysight Anite 9000, Keysight UXM E7515A, or R&S CMW/CMX500Nice to haveExperience in automotive telematics or connected car platformsFamiliarity with eCall standards (EN 16072, 3GPP TS 26.267)Experience with MQTT-based service communicationKnowledge of CarWeaver or similar verification verdict management toolsPrevious work in an OEM or Tier-1 automotive supplier environmentExperience with modem configuration and market adaptation testing
