Role: Consultant Senior Embedded Software EngineerLocation: Stockholm, onsiteFinancial: 12 month contract role which can be extended.Rates: 750 – 850 SEK per hour Our partner is looking for a consultant who can combine technical leadership with hands-on Embedded Linux development. The role involves leading a Linux software team while actively contributing to software development for both new product projects and maintenance of released products. Required Skills8+ years of Embedded Linux development experience.Strong C programming expertise.Linux kernel and device driver development.Deep knowledge of Linux-based embedded systems.Experience with Yocto, Git workflows, Jenkins, and CI/CD.Proven technical leadership and delivery coordination experience.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of daily engineering work. Preferred SkillsARM-based platforms and BSP development.Camera, sensor, and imaging systems.GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.Zephyr RTOS. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate an Embedded Linux software team.Drive technical activities, planning, and software deliveries.Facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning.Track progress, manage risks, and communicate with stakeholders.Work closely with Program Management and cross-functional teams including Middleware, UI, Electronics, and Verification & Validation.Act as a senior software developer while providing technical leadership.
