Control System Engineer
Hands-on engineer responsible for the day-to-day operational technology (OT) control layer on the shop floor: PLC (programmable logic controller), SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) and HMI (human-machine interface) systems across Drug Substance (DS) and Drug Product (DP) process areas.Works under the Sweden Engineering and automation Head, supporting installation, commissioning and ongoing reliability of process equipment in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment. Job description Configure, test and maintain PLC and SCADA systems for process skids, utilities and packaging lines (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, or equivalent), including ladder/structured-text logic changes, I/O commissioning, loop tuning and HMI screen updates under formal change control.Support installation and commissioning of new equipment. Take part in FAT/SAT (factory/site acceptance testing), write and execute IQ/OQ (installation/operational qualification) test scripts, verify instrumentation and field wiring, and get lines to a validated, production-ready state alongside integrators and site engineering.Provide first-line shop-floor automation support. Troubleshoot control faults, alarms and interlocks with operators and maintenance, run root-cause investigations on automation-related deviations, and document fixes properly for the quality system.Look after the plant's OT data and connectivity. Keep historian tags, OPC UA/Modbus links and SCADA-to-L2 (level 2, MES/batch) interfaces working so batch records and process data flow reliably; help build the groundwork for later IIoT (industrial internet of things) and analytics work rather than owning that roadmap.Keep the OT estate compliant and healthy. Maintain backups, software versions and user access on controllers and servers in line with GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11 and basic OT cybersecurity practice (IEC 62443, network segregation), and keep track of hardware obsolescence for the site upgrade plan.
