We value technical excellence, responsible innovation, and long-term partnerships.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a full-time or part-time hybrid role based in Helsinki, Finland.The COO will lead daily operations and the development of our industrial solutions, coordinating the contributions of the StakeHolder Alliance. Working closely with the executive team, the COO will translate strategic objectives into practical development plans and ensure that projects meet agreed schedules, budgets, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.Key responsibilities include:Leading industrial solution development projects and coordinating contributions from technology suppliers, industrial customers, and research partners.Building, leading, and mentoring multidisciplinary development teams.Aligning technology development roadmaps with customer needs and commercial objectives.Managing project budgets, resources, risks, and operational performance.Establishing effective workflows, reporting practices, and performance measures.Supporting strategic planning, partnership development, business development, and funding activities.Promoting safety, quality, and continuous improvement across projects and operations.QualificationsSubstantial experience in process industries, ideally in the forest or chemical industries, mining, metallurgy, or industrial energy.An understanding of SMR technologies and their industrial applications; familiarity with HTGR technology is an advantage.A strong track record in developing and delivering sustainable industrial investment projects.Experience in open innovation, collaborative development, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.Familiarity with funding new ventures and bringing new technologies or industrial solutions to market.Strong leadership, project management, and commercial skills.Experience collaborating with universities and research institutions is an advantage.We welcome applications from experienced professionals and industry leaders, including retired executives and technical experts interested in a part-time role.
