Data Platform Engineer (Databricks) Location: Remote Contract Type: Freelance / Contract We are currently seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks and modern data engineering technologies to support a large-scale enterprise data platform. Key ResponsibilitiesOptimize and monitor Databricks SQL Warehouses to ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.Administer and support Databricks Workspaces, users, projects, and operational activities.Manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and data security permissions.Implement governance frameworks and maintain platform security and operational best practices.Support monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and platform maintenance activities.Develop and maintain data transformation workflows using dbt, including testing, deployment, and documentation.Leverage AI-powered development and automation tools to improve productivity and accelerate delivery.Experience:Strong commercial experience with Databricks in enterprise environments.Hands-on experience optimizing and managing Databricks SQL Warehouses.Experience administering Databricks workspaces, users, permissions, and environments.Strong understanding of RBAC, security controls, and governance frameworks.Proven experience using dbt for data transformation, testing, deployment, and documentation.Experience with platform monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support.Knowledge of modern data engineering principles and cloud-based data platforms.Experience working independently while engaging effectively with technical and business stakeholders.If you are a passionate and dedicated IT Professional looking to join a dynamic and innovative organization, we encourage you to apply.
