The Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our project delivery team. This role will lead the coordination, integration, and management of all design activities across a large-scale data center project, ensuring alignment with client requirements, schedule, cost, and constructability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design management process from pre-construction through project execution and handoverCoordinate multidisciplinary design teams (architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical)Act as the primary interface between client, consultants, and construction teamsEnsure designs meet data center-specific standards (resilience, redundancy, scalability, and sustainability)Review and manage design deliverables, drawings, and specifications for compliance and qualityIdentify and mitigate design risks; drive value engineering and optimization initiativesSupport procurement strategy by aligning design packages with construction sequencingManage design changes and ensure effective change control processesParticipate in technical workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder meetingsEnsure design solutions are aligned with local regulations, codes, and permitting requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s preferred)8+ years of experience in design management or project engineering, preferably in data centers or mission-critical environmentsProven track record delivering large-scale data center or similar complex infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of MEP systems and critical infrastructure design principlesExperience working with general contractors, consultants, and hyperscale clientsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven project environmentFamiliarity with BIM, digital design coordination tools, and design management platforms
