Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer (Deployment, Integration & Operations)Job Type: Contract B2BJob Location: Remote Contract Rate: Euro's 540 per dayEU Citizenship is Mandatory About the Role: Senior DevOps Engineer to ensure a seamless transition from a legacy Linux-hosted Atlassian suite (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence) to a modern, containerised OpenSource ecosystem (Zammad, OpenProject, and XWiki) deployed on Red Hat OpenShift. This hybrid role bridges frontend integration and backend platform reliability — maintaining the existing Atlassian suite while building migration tools, custom forms, and integrations for the new OpenSource stack. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy scalable, resilient Zammad, OpenProject, and XWiki instances across OpenShift clusters- Develop custom frontend integration forms and automate backend data mappings using n8n workflows and API endpoints to replace legacy JSM intake- Build and manage secure CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI for application updates, security patches, database migrations, and multi-environment promotions- Configure Dynatrace OneAgent, monitor system health, and perform log analysis and system tuning- Participate in shift coverage and mandatory on-call rotation to ensure production reliability

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Atlassian Automation: Groovy scripting (ScriptRunner), Java development (Atlassian SDK, Hooks, OSGi bundles)- OpenSource Stack: Zammad (forms development, Ruby/API customization), OpenProject, XWiki- Platform Engineering: Deploying, tuning, and maintaining Zammad, OpenProject, and XWiki; building custom Zammad forms using HTML/JavaScript/REST APIs- Infrastructure & Orchestration: Linux administration (RedHat/Debian), OpenShift/Kubernetes, Helm charts- Database & Data Migration: PostgreSQL/MySQL, ETL scripting (Python, Bash, or Go)

Strong experience in

  • Troubleshooting Ruby on Rails workers, Java/Tomcat engines, Redis queues, and Elasticsearch/Solr re-indexing- OpenShift Administration: Pods, deployment configs, routes, network policies, and PVCs- API & Workflow: Enterprise API Gateways (Kong/Gravitee/Tyk), n8n workflows, routes, webhooks, rate limiting, JWT/OAuth2 token validation- CI/CD, IaC & GitOps: Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI, ArgoCD- Observability: Dynatrace for APM, custom metrics, log analysis, and bottleneck diagnosis

Abilities

  • Strong troubleshooting under pressure; root-cause analysis (RCA)- Collaborate across cross-functional developer squads- Handle end-user application support, API form integrations, and microservices management in OpenShift

Mandatory Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field- Minimum 5 years as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer across the full DevOps lifecycle- Red Hat OpenShift or cloud-native certifications highly desirable- EU citizenship- Fluency in English; additional European language is a plus

Additional Requirements

  • Shift patterns (07:00 – 20:00 CET): Early 07:00 – 16:00 | Late 11:00 – 20:00- On-call: mandatory 7-day rotation including weekends; special rate of 150-200% depending on day- 290 euro per day bonus for the week on call- remote, up to 6 years-EU Citizenship is Mandatory
