Director of Recruiting
We are hiring a Director of Recruiting, known to us as a Talent Scientist Lead, to be a subject matter expert on hiring exceptional tech talent. With several opportunities open, you will lead a team, either as a manager of people or as a deep technical expert coaching others on selection methods. Your mission will be to ensure our hiring processes and associated tooling results in the attraction of exceptional talent across the globe, upholding our high bar for talent selection. Our Talent Science team ensures that our processes can identify exceptional talent efficiently and effectively. In this role you will lead on hiring initiatives, automation and best practice. This is not a recruiter position; it's about the science of talent and performance, raising awareness and insights across the business so that they are able to select the best talent available from our global talent pool. Suitable candidates will bring exceptional data analytics skills with experience from a people leadership team from the technology sector. What you’ll do Provide subject matter expertise on hiring, connecting selection methodology to performance outcomes of our team members.Drive talent analytics capabilities in the team, coaching and mentoring to ensure there is exceptional decision-making in hiring from the business.Review and streamline hiring processes, automation and tooling to drive continuous improvement.Streamline team operations using project management skills to ensure we allocate and deliver against our strategic objectives, with robust reporting capabilities.Build key relationships with senior global stakeholders to ensure we deliver against our hiring agenda, closely monitoring hiring activities and maintaining consistency in our operational processes.Design and build robust reporting measures to monitor effectiveness of hiring.Conduct in-depth behavioural ‘talent interviews’ for senior hires, providing insights into motivations and behaviours.Review and build on go-to-market strategies to drive pipelines, ensuring our candidate experience upholds our employer brand proposition.Bring a passion for diversity and inclusion, ensuring we remove unconscious bias from our hiring process and ensuring our sourcing strategy underpins this. What we are looking for in you 7+ years experience working in a people based function within the technology industry, with relevant experience that connects talent strategies to performance outcomes.Proven ability to hire a strong performing team, with seasoned talent selection capabilities.Experience of coaching, organising and leading a high performing team, with excellent project management skills to deliver a roadmap of strategic objectives.An exceptional academic background from high school and university, with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Psychology, or a people-based subject.Strong analytical problem-solving ability, with a data-driven mindset to identify trends and patterns using SQL, with associated data visualisation skills.Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.Willingness to travel to company events 2-4 times a year, for up to two weeks each. Nice-to-have skills Psychometric assessment, interpretation, validity and reliability metrics.Experience in statistical significance testing and experience in Bayesian inference and/or predictive analytics and ML.Exposure to: LinkedIn, Greenhouse, DISC profiling, Superset, Jira, AI hiring tools.
