Title: Director of Regulatory Affairs and Surveillance, EMEALocation: Europe (100% Remote) Our client is is offering an exciting opportunity for a bright, ambitious surveillance expert based in EMEA to join their Regulatory Affairs team. As the regional expert on trade surveillance, transaction monitoring, and risk management across UK, European, Middle Eastern, and African jurisdictions, you will collaborate closely with their surveillance experts worldwide and the local team. This position can be based anywhere in Europe. Responsibilities:Serve as a subject-matter expert on market-abuse regulation across EMEA jurisdictions, with strong knowledge of the rules governing trade surveillance, compliance, and market risk.Become an expert user of the platform, the company's flagship product, and deliver product presentations to prospects and clients.Develop a deep understanding of clients' surveillance programs and regulatory obligations, identifying opportunities to leverage the platform to improve surveillance effectiveness, reduce false positives, and address gaps in existing programs.Support initial client implementations, working directly with clients and internal teams to establish their surveillance procedures.Partner with internal teams (product, marketing, and engineering) to communicate regulatory trends, share insights that maximize effectiveness, and help clients build best-in-class surveillance and monitoring capabilities.Communicate industry best practices in surveillance techniques and methodology to internal team members, clients, and prospects.Participate in trade shows and industry events, network with market participants, and contribute to the production of marketing collateral and thought leadership. Requirements:3+ years of experience in a trade surveillance role at a buy-side or sell-side firm, regulator, exchange, or vendor.A dynamic collaborator who communicates effectively with diverse audiences, including technical, legal, compliance, and front-office stakeholders across clients, prospects, and internal teams.Subject-matter expertise in equities and futures, with experience in or appetite for digital assets, FX, and/or fixed income. Proven ability to work with technology teams and dynamic software applications.Working knowledge of third-party surveillance systems.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Proficiency in multiple languages is highly desirable, given the multilingual nature of the EMEA region.
