Role: Senior Embedded Software DeveloperLocation: Lund, Sweden

Assignment Description:Our client is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer to join their innovative product development team in Lund. You will develop software for advanced connected products and work across the complete development process, from early hardware testing and software development to integration, testing, and maintenance.About the roleYou will design, integrate and debug embedded software for connected products and modules. The technical environment includes real-time systems, CAN communication, Bluetooth Low Energy, cellular connectivity, cloud interaction and user interfaces running on RTOS platforms.Working in a cross-functional and agile environment, you will collaborate closely with specialists within software, hardware, testing, cloud services and mobile applications.Your responsibilities will include:- Designing and developing embedded software in C++- Developing applications and services for RTOS-based platforms- Integrating and debugging subsystems, hardware and peripherals- Working with embedded IoT protocols and wireless connectivity- Optimizing software for limited memory and low-power systems- Contributing to architecture, technical decisions and complex troubleshooting- Applying DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, threat modelling and automated security testing- Sharing technical knowledge and supporting colleagues across different disciplines Your backgroundWe believe you have:- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field- At least 10 years of experience in embedded software development, preferably within connected or IoT products- Strong programming skills in C++- Hands-on experience developing software for RTOS platforms, such as FreeRTOS- Experience with embedded IoT protocols such as CoAP, MQTT or REST- Experience with V2X technologies such as DSRC or C-V2X- Experience developing efficient software for memory- and power-constrained systems- Practical experience in integration and hardware-near debugging using JTAG or similar tools- Experience applying DevSecOps practices and working with CI/CDExperience with Bluetooth/BLE, NB-IoT, LTE-M or other cellular technologies is considered a strong advantage.Additional experience of interestIt is beneficial if you also have experience within:- Service development and IoT device management- Low-power design, optimization and measurement- Embedded C programming- CAN-based communication- Algorithm development or machine learning- Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence Who you areYou are a collaborative and socially confident engineer who enjoys working across software, hardware and testing.
