Embedded Software Developer – MedTech

The focus is on embedded software development in regulated environments, with strong emphasis on product quality, patient safety, risk management, and compliance with medical device standards.

Your role

You will work throughout the embedded software development lifecycle, contributing to the development of safety-critical medical devices and systems.

Developing and maintaining embedded software for medical devicesParticipating in software architecture and technical design activitiesWorking with software verification, validation, and unit testingContributing to risk management activities throughout the development processSupporting regulatory compliance and software documentation activitiesCollaborating closely with system engineers, quality teams, and cross-functional development teamsEnsuring compliance with applicable medical device standards and development processes

Proven experience in embedded software developmentExperience from the MedTech, Medical Device, Life Science, or other highly regulated industriesStrong programming skills in Embedded CExperience developing software for embedded systems at a deep, low-level hardware layer – hands-on experience working close to the hardware is essential, not solely at the application level.Understanding of software development in safety-critical or regulated environmentsExperience with software verification, validation, and testing activitiesExperience working throughout the complete software development lifecycleAbility to work in multidisciplinary product development teams

Experience working according to IEC 62304Knowledge of medical device development processes and regulatory requirementsExperience with risk management activities in product developmentExperience working with quality management systems in regulated environmentsExperience supporting audits, certifications, or regulatory submissionsSwedish language skillsExperience working within Swedish MedTech organizations
