Freight Operator – SwedenLocation: Gothenburg or SwedenContract: Permanent The Ocean & Air Freight Forwarder will manage and execute both air and ocean freight shipments, ensuring reliable, efficient, and customer-focused service delivery across multiple transport modes. This is a hands-on operational role, ideal for a motivated freight professional with strong local market knowledge and end-to-end forwarding experience. In addition to managing day-to-day forwarding operations, this role will play a key part in supporting the introduction and development of DP World's Control Tower service in Sweden. The successful candidate will help drive enhanced supply chain visibility, customer reporting, exception management, and operational coordination across customer networks. Experience working within a freight forwarding Control Tower environment would be highly advantageous. How You Will ContributeCoordinate import, export, and cross-trade shipments across air freight and ocean freight (FCL & LCL)Negotiate rates and capacity with airlines, carriers, NVOCCs, agents, and trucking providersPrepare, validate, and manage transport, customs, and shipping documentationMonitor shipment progress and provide proactive updates to customers and stakeholdersEnsure compliance with international regulations, safety standards, and DP World proceduresGenerate competitive quotes and secure space reservations across air and ocean modesManage special cargo, including hazardous, restricted, and time-critical shipmentsCollaborate closely with internal teams and external partnersContribute to process improvement, system optimisation, and operational excellenceSupport sales teams with market insights, pricing support, and upselling opportunitiesSupport the introduction, implementation, and ongoing development of DP World's Control Tower service, ensuring operational readiness and delivering enhanced visibility and customer service across the supply chain What You Will BringQualifications & Experience3-5 years' experience in freight forwarding, covering air and ocean freightStrong hands-on operational background, ideally within a mid-sized or multinational forwarderExperience working with TMS systems, KPIs, and process improvementDemonstrated knowledge of multimodal logistics and end-to-end forwardingPrevious experience working within a Freight Forwarding Control Tower environment is highly desirableUnderstanding of supply chain visibility, exception management, customer reporting, and Control Tower operations would be advantageousFluent in Swedish and English Skills & CompetenciesSolid understanding of air freight and ocean freight operationsStrong problem-solving, negotiation, and organisational skillsCustomer-focused mindset with excellent communication skillsAbility to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative and proactive approach to working cross-functionally CompensationDP World offers exciting and challenging roles within a growing international organisation.
