PE Global are delighted to be working with our client who are Europe’s leading data centre delivery partner, we are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join their expanding team based in Helsinki, Finland. They specialise in providing turnkey data centre solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning.They have now grown to become the leading and most trusted company in our sector and is the only dedicated Data Centre delivery partner in Europe.They are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight. This is a full time permanent position operating on a shift rotational roster with all flights, accommodation, transport + a weekly NET subsistence income all completely covered. Please note there is no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance on offer. ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee all Environmental, Health & Safety activities across the project lifecycleDevelop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and management systems in line with company and legal requirementsPromote and enforce a strong safety culture across all levels of the projectConduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazardsCoordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on EHS practicesMonitor subcontractor compliance and ensure adherence to health & safety standardsReview and approve safety documentation, including method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)Manage incident investigations, reporting, and implementation of corrective and preventive actionsEnsure delivery of safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training programmesMaintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, audits, and safety performance metricsAttend Site Meetings, Safety Meetings, and Project ReviewsPrepare and issue EHS reports to senior management and stakeholdersEnsure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and sustainability requirementsProactively identify and resolve EHS issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives Skills & QualificationsDegree or diploma in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or similar disciplineMinimum 5+ years’ experience in an EHS role within construction or engineeringStrong knowledge of health & safety legislation, standards, and best practicesExperience managing EHS on construction projectsExcellent organisational, communication, and leadership skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesRelevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent) are essentialAbility to engage with stakeholders and promote a proactive safety cultureData centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous BenefitsOpportunity to work with a Market Leader in the Data centre IndustrySupportive career developmentCompetitive salary packageCollaborative team environmentPipeline of project growth
