Indirect Tax Specialist
A Snapshot of Your Day
As Indirect Tax Specialist in Siemens Energy Sweden, you will play a key role in supporting Siemens Energy across business areas. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Finance, Accounting, Customs, external advisors, and tax authorities to ensure VAT compliance while supporting commercial projects and operational activities.
You will become part of a highly collaborative Nordic tax team responsible for direct and indirect taxes across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and the Baltics. The position offers a broad range of responsibilities, combining compliance, advisory work, process improvements and participation in strategic projects.
How You'll Make An Impact
Act as the primary VAT advisor for Sweden and support VAT matters across the Nordic region.Advise project teams, procurement, sales, supply chain and finance functions on indirect tax matters.Manage VAT returns, reconciliations, and related compliance obligations in Sweden.Support VAT registrations and ongoing compliance in multiple jurisdictions.Support the business on VAT implications of domestic and cross-border transactions.Manage correspondence and audits with tax authorities.Coordinate with external advisors where required.Drive VAT process improvements, automation initiatives and control enhancements.Support implementation of new business models, ERP developments and transformation projects.Monitor legislative developments and communicate the impact to relevant stakeholders.
What You Bring
A degree in Tax, Law, Economics, Finance or a related field.5+ years of experience working with VAT and indirect taxes.Experience from a multinational company, tax advisory firm or tax authority.Strong knowledge of Swedish VAT legislation and practical VAT compliance.Knowledge of EU and/or international VAT rules.Experience dealing with cross-border transactions, import/export, and complex supply chain structures.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and countries.Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken.Experience with other taxes, such as excise duties or CIT, is not required but is considered an advantage.

The Nordic Tax Team supports Siemens Energy's operations across the Nordic and Baltic region. The team works closely with business, finance, accounting, legal and customs functions to manage tax compliance, audits, reporting obligations and tax risk.
The role offers significant exposure to large-scale energy projects, international transactions, business transformation initiatives and complex indirect tax matters in a dynamic global environment. The position reports to the Head of Tax Nordics & Baltics and is based in either Finspång or Stockholm/Solna.
