Information Architect / Business Architect

We are looking for an experienced Information Architect / Business Architect to take a key role in connecting information, business needs, and architecture within the Swedish electricity grid industry.

The consultant will work across business, information, processes, organization, and technology, helping to create structured and sustainable solutions for complex information landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

Establish, structure, define, and develop a common network model for the business.Develop information architecture for procurement, including mapping information domains, data flows, processes, and structures.Map, model, and document information flows, concepts, relationships, and domain models.Analyze complex relationships between business systems, processes, information, and business concepts.Identify bottlenecks, dependencies, overlaps, and opportunities for synergies across information, processes, organization, and technology.Challenge and further develop existing structures, solutions, and ways of working from a holistic perspective.Act as a bridge between business requirements, information architecture/informatics, and technical implementation/IT architecture.Facilitate workshops and discussions with domain experts, project managers, system owners, and other stakeholders.Communicate and visualize complex information architecture concepts for both business and technical audiences.

Required Experience & Skills

Industry & Business Knowledge

Solid knowledge of the Swedish energy and electricity industry, particularly electricity grid operations.Strong understanding of the network lifecycle, from design and planning through documentation and operational management.Understanding of information exchange and collaboration between different network operators and the Swedish transmission system operator (Svenska kraftnät).

Architecture & Informatics

Extensive experience as an Information Architect, Business Architect, or Enterprise Architect in complex environments.Strong understanding of the relationships between information, business capabilities, processes, and IT systems.Ability to challenge existing solutions and ways of working and identify opportunities for improvement.Proven ability to quickly understand, structure, and simplify complex information models, dependencies, and business relationships.Experience with information modelling, domain modelling, data flows, and information architecture.

Communication & Collaboration

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.Ability to facilitate workshops and drive discussions with business and technical stakeholders.Strong pedagogical skills, with the ability to explain and visualize complex architecture and information concepts clearly.Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of complex architecture topics.
