IT Procurement Manager (Backfill)

emagine is seeking an experienced interim IT Procurement / IT Sourcing consultant to provide temporary support while recruitment for the permanent IT Procurement Manager role is ongoing for one of our great clients within the construction industry.

Start: 2026-10-19

End: 2027-02-28

Location: Stockholm or Gothenburg

The consultant is expected to step in quickly, independently drive ongoing sourcing activities, and maintain momentum in key IT procurement initiatives. The assignment will focus on prioritized sourcing pipeline activities, urgent renewals, and critical supplier-related matters across enterprise IT services.

About the role and your profile

Senior IT procurement, IT sourcing or IT category management consultant with proven experience from large enterprise environments. The consultant must have strong commercial and contractual understanding within IT services, software, cloud, infrastructure, managed services and/or outsourcing, and be able to engage credibly with IT, Purchasing, Legal, Information Security, Architecture and business stakeholders.

Need to have

Ability to lead IT sourcing initiatives end-to-end, including requirements clarification, market engagement, RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract finalization. Strong commercial and contractual understanding within enterprise IT services, software, cloud, infrastructure, managed services or outsourcing. Fluent in Swedish and English Ability to work independently with limited onboarding and quickly build trust with IT, Purchasing, Legal, Information Security, Architecture and business stakeholders. Structured, pragmatic and delivery-oriented working style with strong stakeholder management skills. Availability to start during October 2026 to enable a two-week knowledge transfer period with the outgoing IT Procurement Manager.

Nice to have

Experience with Nordic or global IT suppliers and complex multi-supplier environments. Previous interim or consultancy assignments providing fast operational support during recruitment, transformation or workload peaks. Knowledge of IT backbone areas such as network, workplace, service desk, cloud, infrastructure, hosting, software licensing and professional services. Experience supporting supplier governance, renewal planning, cost optimization and risk reduction initiatives.

Start is expected during October 2026 to allow a two-week knowledge transfer period with the outgoing IT Procurement Manager, subject to consultant availability and agreement

Temporary assignment until the permanent position is filled and handover is completed, estimated by the end of February 2027.
