Lead Engineer, AI for Clinical Genomics | Fully Remote, anywhere in Europe Sequencing a tumour is fast. Turning that data into a report an oncologist can act on still takes hours of expert work per case. My client is building AI-powered software that gives that time back to genomics labs, and it's already running in clinical labs today. They're a well-funded, early-stage precision oncology company with an experienced leadership team from global diagnostics and pharma. They're now building the core engineering team, and this is one of the first key hires. What you'll do 🔹 Own features end to end across the whole stack, from idea to production and beyond🔹 Develop ML models and LLM-powered systems for genomic data🔹 Work directly with genomics experts to understand what labs need, and turn that into product and technical direction🔹 Help shape the architecture, the engineering culture and how the team grows What they're looking for 🔹 A strong engineer across the stack. How well you build matters more than which layer you know best🔹 Someone who ships when requirements are still fuzzy and keeps owning what they built🔹 Comfortable working independently, remote-first and async, with clear written communication🔹 Modern stack: Python, React, KubernetesNice to have (not required): bioinformatics or NGS experience, regulated or medical software, an AI-native way of working, or time as a founding or early-stage engineer.
