Manufacturing Consultant

The client is looking for a senior pharmaceutical manufacturing consultant to join an established technical team and provide additional expertise across Drug Product manufacturing, process development and technology transfer.The primary focus will be Drug Product, with some involvement on the Drug Substance side. As manufacturing is outsourced, a significant part of the role will involve working directly with external CDMO partners, providing technical oversight and acting as the interface between internal teams and manufacturers. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support Drug Product technology transfer activities to/from external CDMOsProvide technical expertise across Drug Product manufacturing and process developmentAct as a key technical liaison with CDMO manufacturing partnersSupport process optimisation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processesAssess manufacturing challenges and provide practical technical recommendationsSupport solid dosage / pharmaceutical formulation and associated manufacturing processesReview and challenge CDMO technical proposals, manufacturing approaches and process changesSupport scale-up, process robustness and manufacturing readiness activitiesProvide technical input into manufacturing documentation, investigations, deviations and change activities where requiredContribute to Drug Substance technology transfer/manufacturing activities where needed, although Drug Product will remain the primary focusWork cross-functionally with internal CMC, quality and supply/manufacturing stakeholders
