Scope of the Thesis

Exploration of novel surface-treatment and functionalization methods for technical textilesBenchmarking new approaches against currently used textile-treatment methodsEvaluating rubber-to-textile adhesion using strap-peel testingCharacterization of treated textiles and rubber-textile interfaces using analytical methods such as FTIR, SEM, TGA, DSC, and EDXElucidation of the underlying chemical, physical, and mechanical adhesion mechanisms

About The Ideal Candidate

The candidate should be pursuing a Master’s degree in:

Chemical Engineering/Material Science A related discipline

And Will Have Strengths In

Applying analytical methods for material characterizationIndependently planning, conducting, and evaluating laboratory test seriesConnecting analytical findings with rubber-to-textile adhesion performance

Previous experience with technical textiles, surface treatments and elastomers is advantageous.

Work Location and Flexibility

On-site presence is required for experimental laboratory work. Data analysis, literature review, documentation, and thesis writing may be performed remotely, subject to agreement with the supervisor.
