Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Job Role: Mechanical Commissioning EngineerLocation: Helsinki, FinlandContract Length: 6 MonthsShift Pattern: 01:00 AM - 04:00 PM (Site-Based) Overview I am seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer (L3 CX Engineer) to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Helsinki. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale mission-critical facility. The successful candidate will take ownership of a package of mechanical works and work closely with the General Contractor's Commissioning Manager to ensure systems are safely and successfully commissioned in line with project milestones and turnover requirements. Key Responsibilities Act as an L3 Commissioning Engineer responsible for a designated package of mechanical systems.Manage and coordinate commissioning activities undertaken by vendors and subcontractors.Witness and verify testing activities, including pre-functional, functional, and integrated systems testing.Review, track, and expedite commissioning documentation to ensure GT requirements are achieved.Attend daily commissioning meetings and provide updates on assigned packages.Ensure commissioning activities are completed in accordance with project procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.Work closely with construction, commissioning, client, and vendor teams throughout the commissioning process.Report directly to the GC Commissioning Manager on site. Requirements EU Right to workProven experience as a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer on large-scale data centre projects.Previous experience acting in an L3 Commissioning Engineer or similar commissioning leadership role.Strong understanding of mechanical systems including:HVACChilled Water SystemsCRAH/CRAC UnitsCooling TowersPumpsMechanical Plant EquipmentBMS IntegrationExperience managing vendors and witnessing commissioning activities.Ability to review commissioning documentation, test scripts, commissioning records, and turnover packages. Previous experience delivering Microsoft data centre projects is preferable.
