Role Description The Mittaustyönjohtaja/mittaushenkilö is a full-time, on-site role based in Helsinki. In this position, the professional will perform daily surveying tasks, including field measurements, setting out and checking structures, and documenting results for construction and infrastructure projects. The role involves planning and coordinating measurement work, ensuring that data is accurate and available to site management and project stakeholders. The Mittaustyönjohtaja/mittaushenkilö will collaborate closely with site supervisors, designers, and contractors, contribute to quality control, and help resolve technical issues related to measurements. The position also includes maintaining measurement equipment, following safety procedures, and supporting continuous improvement of measurement practices. Qualifications Strong competence in surveying and measurement work, including practical experience with construction or infrastructure site measurements.Ability to plan, coordinate, and lead measurement tasks on-site, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with project requirements.Experience using modern measurement instruments and relevant software (e.g., total stations, GNSS equipment, CAD or BIM tools) is highly beneficial.Solid understanding of construction processes, drawings, and technical documentation to support site management and quality control.Relevant technical education (e.g., civil engineering, surveying, or equivalent vocational/degree-level training).Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary site teams.Organized working style, attention to detail, and capability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks.Willingness to work on-site in varying conditions and to follow safety and regulatory guidelines at all times.Basic proficiency in Finnish and the ability to read technical documentation; English language skills are considered an advantage.Previous experience in a similar role within the construction or infrastructure sector in Finland is an asset but not strictly required.
