Shape the future with AI at CGI. We are looking for an ML/AI Engineer who wants to turn the possibilities of artificial intelligence and machine learning into solutions that create real value.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning, data, and generative AI. You will collaborate with colleagues and clients to design, build, deploy, and improve AI powered solutions, from early prototypes and proofs of concept to robust production systems.

The role is intentionally broad. Depending on your experience and interests, you may work with traditional machine learning, generative AI and large language models (LLMs), intelligent applications, MLOps, or a combination of these areas.

Design and develop machine learning and AI solutions for real world business challenges Build applications and services using generative AI, LLMs, and modern AI frameworks Develop and evaluate solutions such as RAG, AI agents, search, recommendation, prediction, and automation Build reliable data and ML pipelines and integrate models into applications and business systems Deploy, monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve AI/ML solutions in production Experiment with new models, tools, frameworks, and approaches Apply good software engineering, MLOps, security, and responsible AI practices Work closely with software engineers, data specialists, architects, domain experts, and client teams Translate business needs into practical technical solutions and communicate technical concepts to different audiences.

We believe you could come from several different backgrounds. You might already be an ML/AI Engineer, or you may have developed strong AI/ML capabilities through software engineering, data science, or data engineering.

We are particularly interested in experience with some of the following:

Python and modern software development practices Machine learning frameworks and libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit learn Generative AI and LLMs, including prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, evaluation, and/or agentic applications Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud APIs, microservices, containers, and technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Data processing, databases, vector databases, and data pipelines MLOps / LLMOps, CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management

You don't need to be an expert in everything above. We value strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to learn and apply new technologies.

You enjoy solving complex problems and turning ideas into working solutions. You are comfortable experimenting but you also understand what it takes to move from an experiment to something reliable and maintainable.

You collaborate well with others and can connect technology with business needs. You are curious about the rapidly evolving AI landscape while maintaining a thoughtful approach to areas such as security, privacy, explainability, quality, and responsible AI.
