About the role:The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational performance of projects and site personnel. The role ensures that operational processes run efficiently, resources are optimised, and key performance targets are consistently achieved. The Operations Manager also drives continuous improvement to enhance productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance across all activities.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational ManagementOversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and service standards are consistently met.Develop, implement, and improve operational policies, procedures, and workflows.Coordinate cross-functional teams to support seamless project and operational delivery.Promote and enforce health and safety standards across all operational activities.Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and site inspections, implementing corrective actions where required.Foster a strong safety culture and ensure all employees are trained, equipped, and aware of safe working practices.Team LeadershipManage, mentor, and develop a team of operational personnel.Oversee project and personnel forecasting, planning, and scheduling in line with business needs.Conduct performance reviews and support ongoing professional development.Process Improvement & StrategyAnalyse operational data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.Support the development and execution of strategic operational initiatives.Budgeting & Resource ManagementManage operational budgets ensuring cost-effective use of resources.Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and services.Monitor asset utilisation and inventory levels to minimise waste and inefficiencies.Risk, Compliance & QualityEnsure full compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and health & safety standards.Develop and monitor KPIs to measure quality, productivity, and team performance.Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.Stakeholder CommunicationServe as a central internal point of contact for operational matters.Work closely with senior management to report performance, challenges, and operational recommendations.Liaise with external partners, vendors, and customers as required.Supply Chain ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.Identify supply chain risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans.Collaborate with internal teams to optimise procurement, inventory, logistics, and distribution processes.Promote H&MV Engineering as an employer of choice within the Finnish market, building relationships with industry networks, educational institutions, and key stakeholders. Key RequirementsTrade Qualified with 8+ years’ experience in a managerial role within the Electrical Contracting industry.Proven track record of improving operational processes and leading teams effectively.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.Collaborative team player with strong commercial awareness.Ethical, reliable, and aligned with organisational values.Strong leadership and people-management abilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
