Hitachi Energy delivers grid technology that supplies electricity to over three billion people globally. We are now looking for a Network Engineer to join our HVDC team in Ludvika.
In this role, you will work with the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of network solutions in our HVDC installations and test environments. You will play an essential part in delivering secure and stable communication solutions for control and monitoring systems within critical infrastructure.
You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, site personnel, and project organizations to ensure that network solutions function both in laboratory environments and in real operation.
How You Will Make An Impact
Configuration and maintenance of network equipment (primarily Cisco and Fortinet)Design and implementation of network solutions for industrial systemsTroubleshooting network issues in lab, workshop, and site environmentsParticipation in testing, verification, and commissioning activitiesDocumentation of network design and configurationsCollaboration with automation, cybersecurity, and system engineering teams
Your Background
Experience in network engineering, preferably within industrial or critical systemsHands‑on experience with Cisco and/or Fortinet environmentsStrong understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, and firewallsAbility to work in a structured and technical environmentGood communication skills in Swedish or EnglishSince the role involves close collaboration with global project teams, personal qualities will play an important part in the selection process
