Company based in Amsterdam, NetherlandsDeveloper Infrastructure | Internal Developer Platforms | Cloud Infrastructure Our client, a growing Developer Infrastructure company based in Amsterdam, is looking for a Platform API Engineer to build the APIs and control-plane services behind its internal developer platform. You'll work at the intersection of Software Engineering and Platform Engineering, turning Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure into programmable, self-service capabilities that engineering teams can consume without managing the underlying complexity. What You'll Work On• Build platform APIs and control-plane services in Go• Design REST and gRPC interfaces for infrastructure operations• Create APIs for provisioning environments, services, and cloud resources• Build Kubernetes-native platform services and automation• Develop workflows that translate developer requests into infrastructure changes• Provision and manage cloud resources using Terraform• Design persistent platform services using PostgreSQL• Integrate platform capabilities across AWS infrastructure• Build asynchronous workflows for long-running infrastructure operations• Improve API reliability, scalability, observability, and developer experience• Collaborate with Platform and Product Engineers on self-service infrastructure capabilities Core Skills• 4+ years in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar roles• Strong Go development experience• Kubernetes• gRPC• REST API design• Terraform• PostgreSQL• AWS• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture Nice to HaveKubernetes Operators / ControllersBackstageCrossplaneProtocol BuffersEvent-driven architecturesArgo CD / GitOpsOpenTelemetryPlatform authentication and authorisationInfrastructure orchestration / workflow enginesExperience building internal developer platforms or infrastructure products
