Location: StockholmEmployment Type: Full-TimeSalary: 55,000 -60,000 SEK per month About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced PLC & SCADA Engineer to join a dynamic development team supporting advanced manufacturing operations across multiple production facilities. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation projects within engine, gearbox, battery module, and battery pack production environments.As a PLC & SCADA Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, integrating, and maintaining industrial automation solutions that connect shop-floor equipment with enterprise digital systems. Working closely with production teams, IT departments, and machine suppliers, you will help deliver robust, scalable, and secure automation platforms that support operational excellence and manufacturing innovation. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain PLC, SCADA, and HMI solutions for production environments.Define technical requirements and validate automation solutions with machine suppliers.Design and implement machine connectivity architectures across multiple manufacturing sites.Develop backend functionality, system modules, and production workflows.Design and build intuitive HMI screens and operator interfaces.Support traceability and production data collection systems.Integrate shop-floor equipment with higher-level digital and business systems.Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in live production environments.Collaborate with QA teams to prepare test cases and support system validation activities.Ensure solutions comply with industrial networking and OT cybersecurity standards. Required Skills & ExperienceStrong experience in PLC programming and HMI development.Proven experience with SCADA systems.Knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols.Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and/or Mitsubishi GX Works.Knowledge of OT cybersecurity and industrial security standards (IEC 62443).Experience within manufacturing, process automation, or industrial production environments.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively within Agile development teams.Desirable ExperienceProduction traceability systems.Smart factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives.Automotive manufacturing experience.Additional Information Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this position.If you are interested, please send your CV for consideration.
