Principal Android Camera Engineer
WE ARE LOOKING FOR PRINCIPAL ANDROID CAMERA ENGINEER
We are looking for a Principal Android Camera Engineer with deep expertise in Android Open Source Project (AOSP), C/C++, Qualcomm platforms, and camera/video systems.
This is primarily a hands-on technical role for an engineer who is comfortable working deep within the Android platform stack and solving complex system-level issues.
You will work closely with teams in North America and Europe, providing technical direction when needed.
What You Will Do
Provide technical expertise in Android/AOSP platform developmentInvestigate and resolve complex platform-level issues across camera systems, video and multimedia, graphics and composition, display, and hardware/software integrationWork with Qualcomm-based Android platforms and platform-specific componentsDevelop, analyze, debug, and troubleshoot native Android platform components using C/C++Support development and integration of camera-based hardware productsCollaborate with Qualcomm and external platform/design partnersProvide technical guidance to engineers working on Android platform and device-level developmentParticipate in technical and architectural decisions related to Android-based productsSupport Android platform evolution, including new platform versions, firmware changes, and hardware component updates
Required Qualifications
10+ years of software engineering experience, with significant experience in Android platform developmentDeep hands-on experience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP)Strong proficiency in C/C++ and native system-level developmentStrong understanding of Android platform internalsProven hands-on experience with Qualcomm chipsets and Qualcomm-based Android platformsDeep expertise in Android camera platforms and camera-related systemsStrong experience with video and multimedia technologiesExperience with graphics, composition, and/or display systemsStrong system-level debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently investigate and drive issues toward resolutionStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed engineering teams
