Product Manager, Credit Preparation

Crosskey is looking for a Product Manager for our Credit Preparation product area.

The role focuses on the functional development of solutions supporting banks' credit granting processes for secured lending. You will work closely with customer banks, development teams, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that the product evolves according to customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market developments.

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product roadmap, prioritization, requirements management, and customer dialogue within your product area.

Own and maintain the product roadmap, planning and prioritizing initiatives for an18 month horizon.Drive quarterly prioritization and contribute to PI Planning.Own and manage the product backlog.Define and manage requirements, including user stories, solution proposals, and functional specifications.Lead functional discussions with customer banks regarding product capabilities, future needs, and development priorities.Monitor and drive regulatory initiatives and requirements affecting the product.Act as Project Owner for functional projects within the product area.Work closely with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered as intended.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to balance business needs, customer expectations, technical considerations, and regulatory requirements.

Decision-Making Authority

Authority over the product backlog and short-term prioritization.Decision-making authority as Project Owner for functional projects within the product area.Authority to make functional trade-off decisions in customer discussions within agreed timelines and budgets.Responsibility for prioritizing initiatives that create the greatest value for customers and the business.

To succeed in this role, you need a solid understanding of banks' credit granting processes, particularly within secured lending.

Relevant Backgrounds Include

Product Management, Product Ownership, or Business Analysis within banking or financial services.Bank IT, especially within lending, mortgages, collateral handling, or credit processing.Lending, credit assessment, credit preparation, or related specialist roles within a bank.Software and technology companies delivering solutions that support banks' lending and credit processes.Experience in corporate credit decision-making and corporate lending processes is considered an advantage

Experience from secured lending processes is important, whether gained from a bank or from an IT company working closely with banks.

The most important qualification, however, is a genuine interest in both IT processes and banking credit processes, and a willingness to develop and improve them together with our customer banks.

This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable discussing lending processes with business specialists and requirements with development teams. You need to understand how banks work, understand how software products are developed, and be able to turn customer needs into product improvements and development priorities.

The role can be based in either Helsinki or Mariehamn.
