Developmental Psychology (PhD) Position: Developmental Psychology (PhD) Type: Contractor Compensation: $100–$200/hour Location: Remote About the OpportunityWe are seeking experienced Developmental Psychology and Child Development professionals to support an AI training project focused on psychologically and developmentally informed AI systems. You’ll apply expertise in child development, cognition, behavior, and psychosocial development to evaluate and improve AI-generated content.Prior AI experience is not required — your academic and professional expertise is what matters most.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and annotate child development and developmental psychology datasets for AI training.Assess AI-generated content for psychological accuracy, developmental relevance, and cultural appropriateness.Review scenarios involving children's learning, behavior, cognition, and psychosocial development.Create and evaluate realistic child-development scenarios and test cases.Identify developmental inaccuracies, inappropriate assumptions, and gaps in AI-generated responses.Develop or refine guidelines addressing cognitive, emotional, linguistic, and psychosocial development.Provide clear, evidence-informed feedback and document expert reasoning.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support AI model improvement.Required QualificationsStrong expertise in Developmental Psychology and Child Development.Advanced academic or research experience in developmental psychology, child development, or a closely related field.Strong understanding of cognitive, emotional, social, linguistic, and psychosocial development in children.Ability to critically evaluate developmental scenarios, datasets, and AI-generated outputs.Strong analytical, research, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.Preferred QualificationsPhD in Child Development, Developmental Psychology, or a closely related field.Research or academic experience focused on child development or developmental psychology.Experience evaluating psychological, educational, behavioral, or developmental content.Experience with technology-driven, digital, or AI-related projects.Proficiency in Japanese, French, Tagalog, Malay, Lithuanian, Russian, Georgian, or Polish.CompensationCompetitive compensation of $100–$200/hour.Independent contractor engagement.Remote work focused on expert evaluation, annotation, research input, and developmental psychology analysis.Prior AI experience is not required.Application ProcessSubmit your application and relevant developmental psychology or research experience.Complete the initial screening process.Participate in an expert interview or assessment.Complete any required domain-specific evaluation or sample task.Complete onboarding and begin project work if selected.
