Regional Business Development Manager

Carbyne is partnering with a growing healthcare and clinical logistics organization to identify a Regional Business Development Manager – EU to develop new business and grow strategic accounts across European markets. The role will focus on building long-term relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, CROs and other healthcare partners. We are looking for someone who understands the clinical research environment and can navigate complex, multi-country requirements, while taking a consultative approach to selling high-value solutions rather than transactional logistics services. Responsibilities Develop new business opportunities across European markets, with a focus on pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, and clinical research organizations.Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with sponsors, CROs, key accounts, and other strategic partners.Manage complex sales cycles from initial opportunity through to successful implementation and account development.Take a consultative approach to sales, understanding client needs and positioning the right solution rather than selling individual products or services.Work with senior stakeholders on topics such as clinical trial logistics, regulatory requirements, import/export, country coverage, cold chain, and supply chain optimization.Develop existing accounts through strategic account management, cross-selling, and identification of new business opportunities.Identify new markets and customer segments and contribute to the development of the regional sales strategy.Monitor market developments and customer needs to identify opportunities for business growth.Work closely with operations, customer service, marketing, and other internal teams to ensure that client requirements are understood and effectively delivered.Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM, prepare forecasts and provide regular updates on business development activities and results.Represent the company at relevant conferences, industry events, client meetings, and other business development activities.Contribute to the development of the regional sales team and support a commercially focused and collaborative working environment. Requirements 5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally with experience in complex or consultative sales. More senior regional sales experience is an advantage.Proven experience developing new business and managing longer, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.Experience selling clinical supply logistics services into pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, CROs, clinical research organizations, or healthcare organizations.Strong preference for candidates coming from clinical trial logistics, CROs, comparator sourcing, pharmaceutical services, specialty logistics, clinical supplies, Cell & Gene Therapy, or healthcare consulting.Good understanding of how clinical research works, including clinical trial phases, clinical supply chains, investigational medicinal products (IMPs), regulatory environments, and multi-country studies.You do not need to be a regulatory expert, but you should be comfortable discussing clinical trial operations and related supply chain challenges with senior stakeholders.Experience managing strategic accounts and developing trusted relationships with senior decision-makers.Strong new business development skills, with a track record of identifying opportunities and converting them into revenue.Experience working across European markets and with international or multicultural stakeholders.Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.Commercial and financial awareness, with the ability to understand client needs as well as business and profitability considerations.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.Willingness to travel internationally across Europe.
