Safety Advisor / SHEQ Advisor About the RoleWe are seeking experienced Safety Advisors / SHEQ Advisors to support major construction projects across various locations in the EU, including Finland, Austria and the Netherlands.The role will be responsible for promoting a strong Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) culture across construction sites, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, ISO standards and project management systems.You will provide hands-on support to project delivery teams, review documentation, conduct site inspections and audits, and help drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and environmental performance. Key ResponsibilitiesSHEQ & CompliancePromote a strong safety-first culture across construction projects.Support the development and implementation of Construction Phase Plans, H&S Files and project-specific quality plans.Review and ensure subcontractor compliance and pre-qualification requirements.Review safety, environmental and quality documentation.Participate in project pre-start and pre-commencement meetings.Conduct regular site SHEQ inspections and audits.Prepare weekly SHEQ reports and monitor corrective actions.Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies and internal project stakeholders.Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and ISO management systems.Provide coaching, guidance and support to site teams.Promote continuous improvement across safety, quality and environmental standards.RequirementsDIP OHS or equivalent SHEQ/Safety qualification.Previous SHEQ/Safety experience within the construction sector.Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and best practice.Experience conducting site inspections, audits and subcontractor compliance checks.Understanding of quality and environmental management principles.Experience working with ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.Strong communication, organisational and influencing skills.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Ability to challenge and influence site teams while maintaining positive working relationships.Fluent English.German language skills required for projects in the Frankfurt area.EU Work EligibilityCandidates must have existing and unrestricted permission to work in the EU.Work permit sponsorship is not available for these positions.
