Company based in Berlin, Germany.B2B SaaS | Data Engineering | Data Infrastructure | Data Platforms | Real-Time Data Our client, a growing B2B SaaS company based in Berlin, is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build and evolve the pipelines and data infrastructure supporting product, analytics, and ML teams. You'll work across data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, streaming, and cloud infrastructure, helping create a scalable data platform that teams across the business can rely on. What You'll Work On• Design and build scalable production data pipelines using Python and SQL• Develop and orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow• Build and optimise analytical data infrastructure in Snowflake• Develop transformation models and reusable datasets using dbt• Build ingestion pipelines from APIs, databases, applications, and external sources• Work with Kafka to support real-time and event-driven data workflows• Design reliable batch and streaming data architectures• Improve data quality, testing, monitoring, and pipeline reliability• Optimise data models and queries for performance and scalability• Build and operate data workloads on AWS• Support datasets and pipelines used by analytics and machine-learning teams• Troubleshoot complex production data issues and improve platform resilience• Help define data engineering standards and technical best practices Core Skills• 5+ years in Data Engineering or a similar production data role• Strong Python and SQL skills• Apache Airflow• Snowflake• dbt• AWS• Apache Kafka• Experience designing and operating production data pipelines• Strong understanding of modern data architecture and modelling Nice to HaveSparkKafka Connect / Kafka StreamsPostgreSQLAWS S3 / Glue / LambdaTerraformDocker / KubernetesData observability and lineageData-quality frameworksCI/CD for data systemsReal-time data processingML data pipelinesExperience supporting high-growth SaaS products
