Senior Databricks Platform Engineer

We’re partnered with a global organisation investing heavily in its modern data platform and are looking for a Senior Databricks Platform Engineer to help build and scale its Lakehouse environment. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of Databricks, cloud infrastructure and data engineering. You’ll be responsible for improving the platform that enables hundreds of engineers, analysts and data scientists to build and deploy data workloads at scale. This is a 6-month initial contract. What you'll be doing:Design and maintain the Databricks Lakehouse platformBuild and manage Databricks workspaces and environmentsDevelop reusable infrastructure using TerraformManage CI/CD pipelines for Databricks workloadsImplement platform governance, security and access controlsWork with Unity Catalog and data governance frameworksImprove cluster configuration, reliability and performanceEstablish engineering standards and best practices across Databricks What we're looking for:6+ years of experience with DatabricksExperience building or managing Databricks platforms at scaleStrong knowledge of Azure, AWS or GCPExcellent understanding of cloud infrastructureHands-on Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experienceExperience with CI/CD and DevOps practicesUnderstanding of Unity Catalog, security and governanceStrong Python and/or SQL skillsExperience supporting multiple engineering teamsComfortable working as a senior individual contributor If this sounds like you, please apply with your latest CV and we will be in touch to discuss the role further.
