Senior Product Designer (Automotive HMI)
Our Customer is the European R&D center for some of the world’s leading automotive brands. Together, we work on new mobility technologies and digital experiences for next-generation vehicles.We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Product Design Studio and contribute to automotive infotainment and digital vehicle experiences across in-car screens and connected touchpoints.You will work in a complex product environment where strong product thinking, interaction design, and high-quality interface craft are equally important.Requirements5+ years of commercial experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, or a similar roleStrong product thinking and ability to turn complex user, business, and technical requirements into clear and usable product experiencesExperience in automotive, HMI, embedded systems, mobility, consumer electronics, or other complex digital products connected to physical devicesExcellent interface design craft, demonstrated through high-quality digital products for touch-enabled devicesStrong experience designing touch-based interfaces for automotive HMI, embedded systems, consumer electronics, mobile, tablet, or similar device-based productsDeep understanding of interaction and visual design principles, including hierarchy, layout, typography, color, states, feedback, touch interaction, and motionExperience designing complex digital products from concept to polished, implementation-ready solutionsExperience with user-centered design processes, prototyping, testing, and iterationStrong proficiency in Figma and experience working with scalable design systems and reusable componentsExperience using AI-enabled tools, including Figma AI, as part of the design workflow for exploration, research, prototyping, or deliveryAbility to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersStrong communication and presentation skillsSystematic and detail-oriented approach to designStrong portfolio demonstrating both design thinking and consistently high-quality final executionDriver’s license and practical driving experienceEnglish level B2+Will be a plusExperience with automotive infotainment, instrument clusters, or other in-vehicle digital experiencesExperience working with automotive standards, guidelines, or safety-related constraintsExperience designing connected products or multi-screen ecosystemsStrong interface animation and motion design skillsExperience collaborating with software and hardware development teamsUnderstanding of accessibility principles and guidelinesChinese language skillsResponsibilities:Design automotive digital experiences from early concepts to detailed, implementation-ready solutionsCreate intuitive, visually refined interfaces for infotainment and other digital vehicle touchpointsTranslate user, business, and technical requirements into clear interaction and interface solutionsExplore and validate design directions through concepts, prototypes, and user researchCollaborate with product managers, developers, designers, and other stakeholders throughout product developmentCreate detailed design specifications and support implementation with development teamsContribute to and evolve design systems and reusable componentsPresent and communicate design solutions to project teams and stakeholdersContribute to design reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring within the design team
