The Role We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer (SDET) to join a client-focused software delivery environment, supporting quality assurance and automated testing initiatives across modern web applications. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product stakeholders, and engineering teams to help ensure software reliability, release quality, and testing efficiency throughout the development lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on testing, automation, collaboration, and delivery-focused work within a structured engineering environment. Employment / Contract Structure & Exclusivity Clause • This is a full-time role (40 hours per week).• The role is offered as a 1-year fixed-term remote contract, with the possibility of extension.• Candidates must be legally eligible to work remotely from within the European Union (and don’t require a sponsorship). Exclusivity Clause:This role requires full professional dedication during the contract period. Parallel client/project work is not permitted during the whole term of the contract. Key Responsibilities • Support quality assurance activities throughout the software delivery lifecycle.• Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to identify testing requirements, risks, and edge cases.• Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated testing scenarios.• Participate in refinement discussions and contribute testing-focused feedback.• Investigate defects, document findings clearly, and support issue resolution processes.• Develop and maintain automated testing solutions using modern testing frameworks.• Perform API validation and testing activities using industry-standard tools.• Support release readiness and contribute to delivery quality initiatives.• Help improve testing processes, automation coverage, and QA practices.• Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain high standards of software quality and reliability. Mandatory Requirements (What We’re Looking For) • 4+ years of professional experience within software testing, QA engineering, or test automation roles.• Strong experience testing modern web-based applications.• Professional experience with automated testing frameworks and tooling.• Strong knowledge of Playwright, ideally within a C# environment.• Good understanding of Git version control.• Experience working with cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.• Strong API testing experience using tools such as Postman.• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, VSTS, or equivalent delivery tooling.• Exposure to Azure or similar cloud platforms.• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or equivalent.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within distributed teams.• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.• Must be legally eligible to work remotely from within the European Union.Nice to Have • Experience working within Agile environments practicing Continuous Delivery.• Exposure to mobile automation tools such as Appium.• Experience with non-functional, load, or performance testing.• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing or productivity tooling.• Previous experience within SaaS or client-facing software delivery environments.
